Second Royal Nebeker scholarships announced

CLATSOP and PACIFIC COUNTY, Wash. — Sarah Nebeker and the board of the Royal Nebeker Scholarship Fund announce that the fund is now accepting applications for two scholarships in the visual arts. The deadline to apply is May 1.

A $300 scholarship is to be awarded to a high school student attending any school in Pacific County, Washington, or Clatsop County, Oregon. A $500 scholarship is to be awarded to applicants of any age residing in either county.

The purpose of the Royal Nebeker Scholarship is to encourage those pursuing an education in two- or three-dimensional visual arts. Applicants need not be currently registered in an arts program.

A written statement and a portfolio of 10 images of the applicant’s work is required. Finalists may, at the discretion of the scholarship committee, be interviewed as part of the application process.
