ASTORIA — Keyed up for the holidays? Tapped out of gift ideas? Try your hand at making typewritten cards and other paper crafts at the Astoria Library from 10:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, Dec. 1. All ages are welcome. Participation is free.

Raymond Montgomery, a typewriter enthusiast, will bring a variety of machines from his collection for participants to try. The library will provide card stock and art supplies. Attendees may bring additional materials, such as photos, to personalize their creations.
