ASTORIA — The Sankta Lucia Festival of Lights takes place the evening of Friday, Nov. 23, at Astoria High School, 1001 W. Marine Drive.

Holiday music begins at 6:30 p.m. The festival begins at 7 p.m.

On the program: Sankta Lucia Bride & Attendants, Star Boys, an introduction to the 2018 Scandinavian Court and the lighting of the Christmas tree.

Featured entertainment includes the North Coast Chorale, holiday singing with Chris Lyn, refreshments from Sons of Norway and public dancing with Scandinavian musicians.

Admission is $1 per individual, $5 per family. Proceeds go toward the Festival Scholarship Fund.

The event is sponsored by the Scandinavian Midsummer Heritage Association.
