ASTORIA — The Columbia River Symphony presents a free holiday concert at the Liberty Theater, 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, titled “Noel.”
Doors open at 6 p.m.; seats are expected to fill up fast.
Performing in conjunction with the Warrenton middle and high school choirs, the three ensembles will celebrate the holidays with symphonic and choral music.
The concert is free, but donations are welcomed and will be split between the Columbia River Symphony and Warrenton School District music program.
Refreshments will be provided during intermission. Bring your camera, as photo opportunities with Santa and his sleigh will be available in the lobby during intermission, and at the end of the program.
Musical selections include “Suite of Carols,” Mendelssohn’s “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing,” “White Christmas” and “Tidings of Comfort & Joy,” and a Warrenton middle and high school combined selection titled “Remembering Decembers.”
Led by conductor Cory Pederson, Columbia River Symphony is an all-volunteer, nonprofit performing arts group.
