LONG BEACH, Wash. — The Peninsula Arts Center presents Kathryn Claire and Don Henson at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12.

Claire weaves together stories and melodies rooted in her classical and traditional musical background while infusing each song and composition with an energy and electricity that is palpable.

Henson, known to many as a percussionist, is also known for his proficiency on keyboards, glockenspiel, vibraphone and synthesizer. He’s played with Pink Martini, The Tonight Show (With Jay Leno), has opened for k.d. lang and played Carnegie Hall.

Wine, beer and other refreshments are available for purchase.

Events benefit the nonprofit Acoustic Music Foundation.

The Peninsula Arts Center is at 504 Pacific Ave. N., Long Beach.
