ASTORIA — Bitches of the Sun is an Oregon-based trio founded in winter 2017 by Willamette Week award winning vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Joshua Davis.

The group brings its diverse musical background to Labor Temple Bar, 934 Duane St., at 10 pm. Friday, Oct. 5. There is a $5 cover.

After Davis made his way to the Pacific Northwest from Chicago, he decided to push his musical boundaries by being a guitarist and frontman. Bassist Nick Wright and drummer Seth Shaler round out this powerhouse, which has an extensive resume with the likes of Wyclef Jean, Mac Miller, Chance the Rapper and Buddy Guy.

The trio delivers a “large selection of body-shaking grooves wrapped in emotionally complex arrangements guaranteed to get everyone on the dance floor,” according to a press release.
