ASTORIA — On Father’s Day weekend, Boy Scout Troop 211 of Astoria is preparing for Scout Camp with a pancake breakfast, 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, June 16, at the Masonic Lodge, 1572 Franklin Ave.

Pancakes, sausages, scrambled eggs and beverages are included for $6 per person, $4 for ages 62 and older and $20 for families (children 5 and younger eat free).

Proceeds support the scouts and their activities. Tickets are available at the door.

Give a Scout an experience that’s bigger than any electronic screen. Introduce him to the outdoors. Some will tie their first square knot at camp. Some will catch, clean and cook their first fish at camp. Others will shoot their first .22, speed down their first zip line or mountain bike their first single track — all at camp. No matter what, a Boy Scout camp is where adventure and learning are the same thing.
